AiF is a foundation supporting development and scientific-research work carried out by small and medium businesses. AiF serves as a mediator between industry, science and the state in the field of innovations. The organization has been recognized as a center of competency and transfer of innovative technologies both in Germany and abroad, helping as such ,the implementation of projects for over 250 million Euro annually.

Aif was founded in 1954 with two major offices in Cologne and Berlin. The organization has built a unique cooperative web taking part in which are over 100 branch organizations for applied research with more than 50 000 members from the small and medium business.

The organization functions in close cooperation with the Federal ministry of economy and employment (BMWA) and the Ministry of Northern Rhine-Westvalia for scientific-research (under the Project for development of technical-professional education).

AiF is functioning simultaneously in priority industries (technological sectors), and according to the special requirements and needs of separate companies. By implementing projects of BMWA, AiF contributes to the rise of technological standards in the industrial sectors ,as well as, to the improvement of companies' competitiveness.



The German-Bulgarian Industrial Trade |Chamber was founded on January 27,2004.

The German-Bulgarian Industrial Trade Chamber is a bilateral industrial trade non-profit chamber , which gathers companies and private people, as well as, DIHK-The Union of the German industrial-trade chambers with its branches all over the world.

The aim of the Chamber is directed at active encouragement of economic ties between Bulgaria and Germany, as well as, the offer of a vast range of services for its members and customers alike on the basis of its good positions in the economic and social spheres.

The German-Bulgarian Industrial Trade Chamber is known for its philosophy aimed at a continuous improvement and professionalism which makes it compatible with international standards and quality.

The Bulgarian Association of Information Technologies (BAIT)


  The Bulgarian Association of Information Technologies (BAIT) is the biggest and most influential branch organization in the sphere of information technologies. It was established in 1995, and to date its members total 152 companies, most of which are market leaders in the area of hardware, software, system integration, telecommunications and Internet, and to a great extent mirror the state of the IT market in the country.

The mission of BAIT is to define and defend the common interests of its members, by establishing information technologies as a priority in the development of the national economy.

The association is an active partner of the government and legislative institutions in forming the state policy in the field of information and communication technologies, and in developing e-government.

The Association has a recognized authority in the country, as well as internationally. BAIT is a member of the World Alliance of Information Technologies and Services - WITSA, it is invited for membership in the European IT association - EICTA, and works actively on European Union projects:

- Business Support Program (BSP)
- Information Society Initiative for Southeast Europe (ISIS)

BAIT organizes the two biggest annual high-tech exhibitions in Bulgaria - BAIT EXPO, taking place at the end of October, and BAIT Internet EXPO & Telecomex, at the end of April.
